1. Paper Rocket Ship
Materials: Construction paper/Thick paper, scissors, glue, markers, stickers, and a straw
Instructions:
Start by cutting out a rectangle for the body of your rocket ship. Then, cut a triangle for the top (the rocket’s nose).
Roll the rectangle into a tube and glue it to hold its shape. Attach the triangle to the top.
Cut out some small circles for windows and decorate them with colorful markers or stickers.
Finally, cut out fins and glue them to the bottom of your rocket for extra flair.
To launch your rocket, stick the straw inside the tube (without gluing it), then blow through the straw to send it flying!
2. Popsicle Stick Picture Frame
Materials: Popsicle sticks, glue, paint, markers, glitter, and a photo
Instructions:
Lay out four popsicle sticks in a square or rectangle shape to create the frame.
Use glue to stick them together at the corners. You may want to glue two extra sticks along the top and bottom for extra strength.
Once the frame is assembled, paint or color the popsicle sticks with markers. Add glitter or stickers to make it extra fun!
When the paint is dry, glue a photo onto the back of the frame.
To finish, add a small loop of string to the top of the frame for hanging.
Fun Twist: Create a “memory wall” of different frames with family photos or pictures you’ve drawn!
3. Rock Painting
Materials: Smooth rocks, paint, paintbrushes, and markers
Instructions:
Find some smooth, flat rocks (these can be found outside or bought from a craft store).
Wash the rocks thoroughly and let them dry.
Paint the rocks with designs like flowers, animals, or even fun patterns. Use markers to add details once the paint is dry.
